This song was originally written in 1995, with a focus on relationships, but a couple
of verses highlight the plight of the Haitian people, despite the enormous foreign aid through the years.
"So don't mind me, I'm only human
Trying hard to get through to whoever you may be
No, don't mind me behind the curtain
Dying to be certain of the very best and blessed in me
Can't you see ......."
As with the Tsunami, Katrina, the Pakistan and China earthquakes and now here in Haiti, these huge tragedies hopefully serve to open our hearts to deeply feel our shared humanity, and inspire us to help one another more fully. As we have all seen from coverage since the beginning of the earthquake, the Haitian people have been an outstanding example to the world of strength, resiliance, patience, and their unselfish care and support of one another despite their poverty and pain.

This money will be sent to Doctors Without Borders for their work in Haiti.
